New law for drivers: why fines will rise to 2550 hryvnias and even higher.

Strengthening responsibility for Ukrainian drivers: what the draft law №12172 entails
Ukraine is considering a draft law that proposes to increase fines and the possible revocation of licenses for those who violate traffic rules. According to this document, a fine of 1020 hryvnias will be imposed for violations of pedestrian crossing or intersection rules. For repeated violations, the fine amount will increase to 2550 hryvnias, and the court may revoke the driver's right to operate vehicles.
This is reported by Avtotema.
A feature of this legislative initiative is that violations will be recorded in the system and may become grounds for imposing stricter sanctions in the future. The National Police and the Military Road Safety Inspection will consider cases of violations, and the court will decide on the issue of license revocation.
Warnings and new rules for drivers
It should be noted that parking on bicycle paths may result in a fine of 340 hryvnias. In addition, car owners have been warned about penalties for driving an unregistered vehicle and age restrictions for drivers of different categories.
Forced measures are also foreseen, such as blocking accounts and recovering double the amount of fines for 'dodgers' who avoid paying fines for traffic violations, it was reported earlier.
