The popular fruit is getting more expensive in Ukraine — how much does it cost now.

The harvest of new apples is underway in our country, but their prices remain quite high. Traders are not in a hurry to lower the cost of local products, even with the arrival of new batches.

Reasons for the price increase of apples in Ukraine

According to EastFruit, the new apple harvest in Ukraine costs three times more than last year. This is related to imported products in the market and a high demand for seasonal fruits and berries.

• Producers plan to increase apple supplies, which may lead to a gradual decrease in prices.

According to the State Statistics Service, from 2024, the prices of apples in Ukraine have increased by 195%. In June 2025, their average price was 79.5 hryvnias per kilogram. The price of white cabbage has also risen by 150%, while that of carrots has increased by 67%.

It is also worth finding out the prices for melons, watermelons, and zucchinis in summer. For example, the most expensive watermelon costs over 30 hryvnias per kilogram, while the cheapest melon costs 50 hryvnias per kilogram.

Ukrainian apples are more expensive this season, primarily due to increased demand and production limitations. With forecasts of a gradual decrease in prices, this can be observed if there is an increased supply of products on the market.
