Possible participation of the Russian Federation in another World Summit does not guarantee direct negotiations - ambassador.

An invitation to Russia for the second World Summit is likely, but this does not mean that Ukraine should engage in direct negotiations with the aggressor. Instead, negotiations can be conducted through intermediaries. The Time and place of the summit should be determined by the end of the year.
Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey Vasyl Bodnar announced this during a meeting with representatives of the media accredited in Turkey, Ukrinform reports.
"The logic of the World Summit and the Peace Formula lies in strengthening the international community to support a just peace in Ukraine. Our goal is not to pit Ukraine against Russia and listen to their demands. The main idea is for the international community, together with Ukraine, to create a basis for the peaceful resolution of the conflict with the Russian Federation," said Vasyl Bodnar.
The ambassador emphasized that the potential participation of Russia in the next World Summit does not mean direct negotiations. These could be negotiations through intermediaries.
"We planned to hold this summit by the end of the year, but now attempts by Russia and other countries to impose their point of view on the future are slowing down this process. The time and place of the summit will be known closer to the end of the year," Vasyl Bodnar noted.
Ukraine hopes for active participation of Turkey both in mediating efforts and at the summit itself.
"We must understand that any attempts to achieve something without Ukraine's participation will lead to failure. We do not reject any initiatives that contribute to a just peace. But for us, the principle is that nothing about Ukraine can be decided without Ukraine," added the Ukrainian Ambassador to Turkey.
