Land plots for combatants: size and procedure for obtaining.


Combatants have the right to obtain land plots, but this right is restricted during martial law. To receive a plot, the combatant must submit an application to the relevant authorities or local self-government. The size of the plot depends on the locality and its purpose.
When submitting an application, it is necessary to provide graphic materials, confirmation from the land user (if the land belongs to other persons), documents confirming work experience in agriculture or education in an agricultural educational institution, as well as documents that confirm identity and the right to benefits when receiving land plots.
The authorities have 30 days to review the application and make a decision on granting permission or refusal. In the absence of a response, the applicant can go to court.
During martial law, it is prohibited to transfer land free of charge into private ownership. This prohibited point also applies to combatants. However, there are exceptions, for example, real estate owners on the land or citizens who received a plot before January 1, 2002 have the right to free transfer into private ownership.
