Massive shelling of Kharkiv: Zelensky responded to Russia's attack
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the massive shelling of Kharkiv, which resulted from Russia's attack. In his message on Telegram, Zelensky reported that dozens of 'Shaheds' attacked this Ukrainian city. As a result of the shelling, houses, enterprises, and civilian infrastructure were damaged. Overall, information about more than 40 injured is already known. Currently, rescuers and relevant services are working at the scene of the incident.
Zelensky emphasized that Russia's attack was directed at residential buildings when the city's residents were home and preparing to go to sleep. The President expressed his outrage, noting that only inhumane people could issue and carry out such orders. At the same Time, Zelensky stressed that the world must respond immediately to such events and strengthen air defense (anti-aircraft defense), as the lives of Ukrainians are turning into a nightmare every day due to Russia's aggression.
Zelensky called on our partners, specifically the United States and European countries, to make strong and real decisions to stop Russia. He emphasized that only the application of sanctions and force can influence the aggressor and prompt him to cease military actions.
It is worth noting that reports of a drone strike threat in Kharkiv came around 9:30 PM. Later, it became known that a series of explosions shook the city. Medical personnel are assisting the injured, and specialized services are working at the locations to eliminate the consequences of the attack.
