Zelensky revealed the scale of the Russian missile strike and the need for additional air defense systems.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about the attack by Russian troops that took place last Friday night. According to him, the Russian aggressor deliberately waited to strike at important energy infrastructure in Ukraine.
During the attack, 94 missiles and about 200 drones were used. Despite this, the Ukrainian air defense managed to destroy a significant number of enemy munitions.
'We understand that this is only a temporary pause, and Russia will certainly try to launch a new strike as soon as it is ready,' Zelensky emphasized.
The president appealed to Western partners and requested 12-15 air defense systems for full protection of Ukraine from missile attacks. He noted that this is important and urged the United States and European countries to fulfill previously agreed agreements.
Zelensky reminded of the agreements reached at the NATO summit in Washington. Ukraine was promised a significant number of air defense systems as compensation for the impossibility of joining the Alliance.
The Joint Expeditionary Force is a military partnership that includes countries capable of responding quickly to crisis situations. Among the participants are the United Kingdom, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden.
