It seemed like the last seconds of life - Kharkiv resident on the Russian shelling.


On Monday morning, July 7, Russian troops shelled Kharkiv. As a result of the attack, residential areas of the city were affected.
What is known about the shelling of Kharkiv
According to Kharkiv residents, the most affected area was the Holodnohirskiy district. Local residents are still recovering from the trauma, and the aftermath of the shelling is visible in every yard - broken windows, damaged roofs, and burned facades.
A resident of the district, who was at home during the shelling, shared her impressions: 'I have never heard such a sound during the war. It seemed like the last seconds of life.'
According to her, the first explosion destroyed part of the apartment: doors flew out, windows shattered into tiny fragments, and stones fell in the room.
'After the first explosion, everything in the house fell apart - doors, windows, glass, stones flew out. Then there were a few more explosions. We went outside - everything was on fire,' recalls the woman.
She notes that her family is still in shock and cannot fully comprehend what they had to endure.
'It was very scary. We still do not fully realize what we have experienced,' the affected woman adds.
The head of the department for countering war crimes of the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office, Spartak Borysenko, reported that the enemy used six Shahed-136 drones, which specifically targeted a residential quarter.
