Died while fulfilling official duties in Sumy region. Let's remember Mykhailo Chumakov.


Every day at 9 AM, Ukrainians honor the memory of all those whose lives were taken by the Russo-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Mykhailo Chumakov.
The defender of Ukraine, resident of Sokyryany, Mykhailo Chumakov has passed away. This was reported by the Sokyryany City Council.
Mykhailo Chumakov was born in the city of Khotyn in the Chernivtsi region. He received a general secondary education there and continued his studies at the Stavnichanske Technical School No. 21, specializing in agricultural production management.
Mykhailo Volodymyrovych moved to Sokyryany in 2002 for permanent residence.
He previously worked at the Sokyryany Agricultural Company 'Raiagrobud'. From 2003 to 2012, he served in the bodies of the State Criminal Enforcement Service of Ukraine as a junior inspector in the security department of the State Institution 'Sokyryany Correctional Colony (No. 67)'.
Colleagues recall Mykhailo Chumakov as a calm, balanced, and demanding person. In the department, Mykhailo Volodymyrovych was respected and held authority.
He joined the ranks of the defenders of Ukraine in the full-scale Russo-Ukrainian war in August 2023. During the war, the soldier performed combat tasks in the anti-tank unit of the fire support company.
His life was cut short in Sumy, while fulfilling official duties. Mykhailo Chumakov was 47...
The hero is survived by his son Oleksandr and daughter Anastasia.
