According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of August 17, 2024, Russia has suffered significant losses in the war with Ukraine.
Statistics of Russia's losses as of August 17, 2024
At the moment, Russia has lost:
- almost 598,180 personnel (+1230),
- 8501 tanks (+5),
- 16473 armored fighting vehicles (+12),
- 16985 artillery systems (+58),
- 1160 rocket artillery systems (+1),
- 923 air defense systems (+1),
- 367 aircraft (+0),
- 328 helicopters (+0),
- 13714 operational-tactical level UAVs (+55),
- 2432 cruise missiles (+3),
- 28 ships/boats (+0),
- 1 submarine (+0),
- 22913 units of automotive equipment and fuel tanks (+65),
- 2844 units of special equipment (+15).
State of the enemy fleet as of August 17
- In the Black Sea, one enemy ship equipped with "Kalibr" cruise missiles capable of launching up to four missiles is registered.
- There are no enemy ships in the Sea of Azov.
- In the Mediterranean Sea, two enemy ships equipped with "Kalibr" cruise missiles are registered, but they are not taking any action.
In the last 24 hours, through the Kerch Strait passed:
- to the Black Sea - eight vessels, one of which continued to the Bosphorus Strait;
- to the Sea of Azov - 10 vessels, one of which moved from the Bosphorus Strait.
Currently, it is the 906th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine.
