A prominent historian explained what Ukraine's victory in the war with Russia will be.

According to prominent historian and publicist Yaroslav Hrytsak, Ukraine's victory lies in breaking free from Russia's control and joining the European Union. He emphasized that doing this independently is dangerous, so the victory consists of transitioning from one space to another, where peace with neighbors prevails - to the European space.
'The dictator of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has launched a large-scale war that he will no longer be able to stop. There is a significant risk of conflict within Russia itself,' Hrytsak noted.
Regarding the possible accession to the European Union, Hrytsak pointed out that the borders are still undefined. However, he believes that when Ukraine joins or approaches the European Union, that moment will mark a victory. Research shows that Ukrainians are more inclined to join the European Union than to return to former borders, and they predict that the war with Russia will continue beyond 2025.
Hrytsak's comments emphasize that it is very important for Ukraine to break free from Russia's influence and join the European Union, as this will help ensure peace and stability in the region. He also noted that the conflict with Russia could have serious consequences for the country itself, but joining the European Union will be a victory and contribute to Ukraine's further development.Read also
