Explosion in Zhytomyr Region: 735 Homes Left Without Electricity (Photo).


Yesterday, a serious incident occurred in the Zhytomyr region - as a result of an explosion, three 10 kV power lines near the village of Berezyna were damaged. According to 'Glavkom', 735 homes were left without electricity due to the shutdown of 50 10/0.4 kV transformer substations.
Currently, work is underway to eliminate the consequences of the explosion. Nine emergency response teams are working at the scene to restore power supply.
New Information About the Incident Near Zhytomyr
Recall that in the evening of July 2, an explosion sounded on the outskirts of Zhytomyr, resulting in casualties, injuries, and damage to buildings. The incident occurred near the village of Berezyna on the Kyiv-Chop highway, where two industrial facilities were affected. 24 people were injured, including four children, and two died.
The causes of the explosion are currently unknown, and the police continue to investigate the incident.
As a result of the explosion in the Zhytomyr region, three power lines were damaged, leading to electricity outages in hundreds of homes. Currently, efforts to eliminate the consequences and investigate the causes of the incident are underway.
