The Cabinet of Ministers has expanded the social services program

The government has expanded the list of individuals who can now benefit from supported living and residential care services. In particular, this includes internally displaced elderly persons and individuals with disability of the IV group of mobility activity. Previously, such services were available only to individuals with the V group of disability.

Changes in the provision of social services

Changes also concern the application submission procedures, conditions of payment after the recipient's death, and the control over service provision. The Ministry of Social Policy emphasizes the importance of an effective mechanism for service provision based on the principle of 'money follows people', allowing individuals to choose their service provider and manage their own lives.

  • Currently, under the new conditions, 141 individuals are using social services, including 19 through service-providing organizations, and another 45 have expressed a desire to participate in the project.
