Ukrainian scouts reported the elimination of the chief of staff of the 'Storm.Ossetia' battalion in Zaporizhzhia, as informed by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense.
According to the received information, on December 29, 2024, reconnaissance warriors of the active actions unit 'Kraken' destroyed Serhii 'Kama' Melnikov, the chief of staff of the 'Storm.Ossetia' battalion and his driver. 'Storm.Ossetia' is an assault unit that is part of the 429th motorized rifle regiment of the Russian Armed Forces.
The scouts of the Active Actions Department received confidential information about the route and schedule of the chief of staff of the battalion in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region. With this data, aerial scouts managed to plan an ambush for the invaders' leader.
Initially, drone operators tried to scare the driver of the UAZ 'Patriot' vehicle in which Melnikov was traveling. The driver changed his route, avoiding the drone, but the vehicle skidded into a ditch. Then, the scouts struck the car with a kamikaze drone, resulting in the destruction of both occupants.
