Ukrainians can receive pension supplements: who and how much will be paid.

Ukrainians have been informed about the possibility of receiving additional pension supplements under the law 'On Mandatory State Pension Insurance'. These supplements are available for certain categories of pensioners during the armed conflict in Ukraine. In April 2025, Ukrainian pensioners will have the opportunity to receive several types of supplements.
Among the supplements are 'Age supplements' for citizens aged 70 and older, 'Care supplements' for lonely elderly people, and additional payments for pensioners with children.
Age supplements will be assigned automatically, without the need to contact the Pension Fund of Ukraine. The amount of the supplement will depend on the age of the recipient: 300 hryvnias for those who have reached 70 years, 456 hryvnias - for pensioners aged 75 to 80, 579 hryvnias - for individuals aged 80 and older.
Lonely pensioners who require constant assistance can receive a monthly supplement of 40% of the minimum subsistence income for persons unable to work, which will amount to 944 hryvnias in 2025. To qualify, one must be over 80 years old, live independently, require regular external assistance, and receive an old-age pension. Medical conclusions must confirm the need for constant assistance.
Pensioners who are raising children under 18 years of age are also entitled to additional payments to their pension. The supplement amounts to 150 hryvnias for each child. This right is available to old-age pensioners, disabled persons, and individuals with service years.
In the case of employment of a pensioner, the right to additional payment for children is suspended. To apply for this supplement, one must submit an application to the local office of the Pension Fund of Ukraine and provide documents that confirm the identity of the applicant, family ties with the child, and the child's age.
Ukrainian pensioners are provided with a variety of opportunities to receive pension supplements, depending on their age and family status.
