Ukrainians Can Obtain Combatant Status
Many Ukrainians can now obtain combatant status, which provides benefits to military personnel.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution 'On Granting Veteran Status', there are no clear service terms established to obtain combatant status, reports 24 Channel.
Previously, to obtain this status, Ukrainians needed to serve at least 30 days.
According to information on the website Care for the Soldier, combatants are recognized as military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who participated in activities necessary to defend Ukraine against Russian aggression.
Additionally, combatant status is granted to individuals who participated in combat missions, reconnaissance activities, and sustained injuries or disabilities.
To obtain the status, Ukrainians need to provide certain documents, such as a certificate of participation in defense activities, a copy of their passport and tax identification code, an application for the status, and consent for processing personal data.
Moreover, two photographs sized 3×4 cm on matte paper are required, where the face occupies 65-70% of the photo.
The mentioned documents may be accompanied by others that confirm the participation of the Ukrainian in defense activities.
