The U.S. Department of Defense believes that the participation of North Korean servicemen in battles in the Kursk region is of no significant benefit to them. Instead, North Korean forces are suffering heavy casualties. This was stated by Deputy Press Secretary of the U.S. Department of Defense Sabrina Singh at a briefing in Washington.
According to Pentagon estimates, about 1000 North Korean soldiers were killed or wounded in battles with the Russian army in the Kursk region. Singh also noted that the attacks by North Korean military in this region are not effective and lead to significant losses.
