In the Bukovin Carpathians, the first frosts have already occurred, and frost formed on the grass. This was reported by the head of the Selyatyn community of the Chernivtsi region, Valeriy Polyanchuk.
In the photo that the man published online, frost is visible on the grass, and the temperature dropped to -5 degrees.
Polyanchuk noted that frosts during this Time of year are common for the mountainous area, as his grandparents suggest. He also added that the village of Verkhniy Yalovets, where the photo was taken, is located at an altitude of 980 meters above sea level.
Earlier it was reported that in September the average monthly air temperature in Ukraine will fluctuate between 15-20 degrees Celsius (in the Carpathians 13-14 degrees), which is two degrees above normal.
