Response of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the demands of the Kremlin for a 'ceasefire'
Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Georgiy Tikhiy reacted to the statement of the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Lavrov regarding the Kremlin's demands for a peace agreement. In particular, he called on allies to increase sanctions against the aggressor country.
Georgiy Tikhiy wrote about this on his page on the social network X on Monday, July 7.
The proper 'denazification' should begin in Moscow, considering its attitude towards other ethnic groups — Azerbaijanis and the rest of the South Caucasus, Central Asia, Ukrainians, Crimean Tatars, and others. Lavrov's belligerent rhetoric demonstrates that Russia rejects peaceful efforts and instead resorts to ultimata like in 2022.
We call on partners to immediately strike these Russian 'denazification' groups with new, tough sanctions to bring them back to reality.
Let us remind you that in a recent interview, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Lavrov announced a list of the Kremlin's demands for a peace agreement with Ukraine. In response to Lavrov's statement, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine noted that 'denazification' should indeed begin in Moscow. Moreover, he called on partners to immediately strengthen sanctions against Russia.
