A municipal office to support Japanese business has been opened in Lviv, the first of its kind in Ukraine. The aim of this office is to assist Japanese companies in Lviv. 'The first municipal office to support Japanese business in Ukraine has started operating in Lviv. A large delegation from Japan has arrived. We want Japanese companies to feel at home in Lviv: without barriers, comfortably and understandably,' said the Mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovyi. He also added that the Japan Desk will be a gateway for Japanese investments into Ukraine, making Lviv a doorway to international cooperation. This initiative is being implemented in conjunction with the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine and the JETRO organization. It is worth noting that a memorandum of cooperation between the Lviv City Council and JETRO was signed today, July 8, at the City Hall by Mayor Andriy Sadovyi and Nobutaka Maekawa, Executive Vice President of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). The Japan Desk Lviv is a city service in Japanese that will assist Japanese companies in Lviv. Here, consultations can be obtained regarding investments, business establishment, partner search, and familiarization with the local economy. The service will operate based on the city's investment and project management. The program aims to make Lviv the first city where Japanese investors will come. This will aid reconstruction, foster new ideas, and improve the image of Lviv and Ukraine in the world. A municipal office to support Japanese business has been opened in Lviv.
