Trump urged Ukraine to immediately agree to negotiations with Russia.

Trump urged Ukraine to agree to talks with Russia in Turkey
U.S. President Donald Trump expressed the opinion that Ukraine should accept Russia's proposal for direct negotiations in Turkey. He noted that Russian leader Vladimir Putin wants to meet on May 15 in Turkey to discuss possibilities for ending the war.
"Ukraine must agree to this immediately. At least they will be able to determine whether an agreement is possible, and if not, European leaders and the U.S. will know where everything stands and can act accordingly! I am starting to doubt that Ukraine will reach an agreement with Putin, who is too busy celebrating victory in World War II," said the U.S. president.
Trump also emphasized that without the U.S., victory in World War II would have been impossible, and called for Ukraine and Russia to hold a meeting. Earlier, Trump's special representative in Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, noted that a ceasefire must be observed before communication between Kyiv and Moscow.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky agreed to negotiations with Russia but demands confirmation of a ceasefire from Moscow starting May 12, which has already been proposed jointly with the U.S. and the "coalition of the willing." Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also expressed readiness to serve as a platform for peace talks between Ukraine and Russia.
These events indicate growing tensions in relations between the countries and a desire to resolve the situation through dialogue and negotiations.
