Svitolina returns to the top-20 of the WTA rankings.


Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina has improved her position in the WTA rankings and is now ranked 18th. This is reported by btu.org.ua.
Svitolina first entered the top-20 of the rankings in 2015 and has since moved up and down several times. She spent the most Time in the top-20 from late 2016 to early 2022. During this period, she also gave birth to a daughter.
After returning to the tour, Svitolina entered the top-20 of the WTA rankings, which happened in March 2024. Last year she spent 19 weeks in the top-20 but dropped out of it in June.
So far, besides Svitolina, two other Ukrainian tennis players have made it to the top-20 of the rankings: Marta Kostyuk and Elena Bondarenko.
Among active players, Svitolina ranks 8th for the longest duration in the top-20 of the WTA rankings.
