Finnish President Alexander Stubbs proposes appointing a special envoy for Ukraine. He believes it is necessary to create a European negotiating group similar to those that already exist in the USA, Ukraine, and Russia. The Finnish president emphasizes that Ukraine must win the war, preserve its independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He also notes the active role of France and Great Britain in this process: 'The French and the British have taken the initiative. And the rest of us are watching and participating'.Stubbs also sets conditions for the possible deployment of a military 'coalition of the willing' on Ukrainian territory. He notes that the process should go through two stages. 'The first stage is a ceasefire. The second stage is an actual peace agreement. Therefore, some guarantee is required for a ceasefire. This means that you can lend support in the air, at sea, and possibly on land,' explains the Finnish president. He also points out that such planning is carried out by Finnish military personnel, and the political decisions made in Paris are part of the first stage. 'The second stage is when peace is maintained, when you bring in troops to stabilize crisis situations or peacekeeping forces based on an international mandate,' Stubbs summarizes.Earlier, Stubbs had already expressed his views on Putin's true objectives regarding Ukraine.
