On Monday, July 7, a storm occurred in Lviv. Residents complained about thunderstorms, rain, and strong winds that engulfed the city.
What is known about the storm in Lviv
Forecasters warned about dangerous weather that reached Lviv. The city was struck by a powerful tempest with hail and strong winds, leading to serious destruction and complicating public transport movement.
In the city center, memorial installations dedicated to the Heroes were destroyed. Near the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, a tree fell on the road, which temporarily halted the movement of trolleybuses.
Additionally, a tree fell at the intersection of Horodotska-Zaliznychna, complicating road conditions in this area of the city.
Lviv City Council comments on the storm
First Deputy Mayor of Lviv Andriy Moskalenko reported that the storm led to at least five trees falling in the city. An operational headquarters has been established to eliminate the consequences of the storm, and emergency crews are already working to remove the fallen trees.
The city authorities urge residents to be cautious and avoid going outside unnecessarily until the weather stabilizes.
According to forecasts, tomorrow, July 8, rains and strong gusts of wind are expected in various regions. Also, heat and changeable cloudiness are anticipated in Kyiv.
