The secretary of the court in Odesa region concealed assets worth over 3 million.

The secretary of the Arziz District Court of Odesa region, Tetiana Chernieva, concealed assets totaling 3.4 million UAH. The case regarding the fact of false declaration has been forwarded to the court by the NACP.

This was reported by the National Agency for Corruption Prevention.

Real estate of the district court secretary

In the declaration for 2023, Tetiana Chernieva did not provide information about land plots with an area of 1407 m², 68,600 m², and 56,600 m² (the last two belong to her husband, Vitaliy Dmytrovich Cherniev, by lease). They are located in Odesa region, but their cadastral numbers are not specified in the document. In addition, according to the NACP, the woman has repeatedly provided false information about ownership rights to a residential building.

Vehicles

The investigation revealed significant discrepancies in the declared value of the vehicles. In particular:

• BMW X-3 (2017), purchased on November 3, 2023, was declared at a price of 50,000 UAH. However, the market value, according to the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, is 987,000 UAH. The NACP believes that the deal at a reduced price does not correspond to market conditions.
• Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 213 CDI (2005), purchased on October 10, 2023, declared at 9,000 UAH. The market value is at least 327,000 UAH.
• BMW X5 (2010), owned by a family member (husband) since August 19, 2021, was not mentioned in the declaration at all.

In addition, Tetiana Chernieva did not declare income from the sale of vehicles in 2023, namely:

• 50,000 UAH from Oleksandr Saikin;
• 10,000 UAH from Mykola Cherniev.

Undeclared assets

The NACP also discovered an undeclared income of 829,000 UAH from unidentified sources. Together with expenses for the purchase of real estate and vehicles in 2023 (a total of 2.86 million UAH), Tetiana Chernieva's assets significantly exceed her family's official income. The case was submitted to the court on signs of part 1 of article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (declaration of false information).

As a result of the verification of the declaration of the secretary of the Arziz District Court, Tetiana Chernieva, significant discrepancies were found between the declared assets and actual assets, as well as false information about income from the sale of vehicles. The case was transferred to the court for further consideration.
