Shakhtar honored the memory of the victims of the Russian strike in Kryvyi Rih.


The football club 'Shakhtar' paid tribute to those who died as a result of the Russian missile strike in Kryvyi Rih.
Players, coaching staff, and club management visited the site of the tragedy after the match with the team 'Kryvbas'. They laid flowers at the makeshift memorial and honored the deceased with a moment of silence, the club's press service reported.
'Rivalry should remain only on the field. In such moments, one cannot remain indifferent - we are all, first of all, human beings,' stated the club of Rinat Akhmetov.
It is noted that on April 4, Russian troops carried out a missile strike on a residential area of Kryvyi Rih. As a result of the attack, 20 civilians were killed, including 9 children. More than 70 people were injured.
On April 7, a requiem service was also held for the victims at a children's playground.
Earlier, the United States stated that they would not allow unfair negotiations regarding the end of the war in Ukraine or violations of ceasefire agreements.
U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Dorothy Sheehy, expressed condolences to the families of those killed as a result of the Russian missile strike in Kryvyi Rih. She noted that the attack was carried out using a ballistic missile with cluster munitions.
