British intelligence predicts how battles near Pokrovsk may change in the near future.

The situation in eastern Ukraine is becoming increasingly difficult. Russian occupation forces continue their advance on the city of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region.
According to the British Ministry of Defense, the enemy's advance towards the logistics center in Pokrovsk has significantly accelerated over the past week.
“Russian ground forces are already 10 kilometers from Pokrovsk,” reports British intelligence.
However, experts predict that the pace of the advance may slow down as enemy forces approach the city and begin entering its surrounding settlements.
British intelligence explains that this is due to the specifics of conducting combat operations in urban conditions, which require changes in tactics and create additional challenges for the advancing side.
The loss of Pokrovsk could have serious consequences for the entire front line in the Donetsk region. The city plays a critical role in the supply system of the Ukrainian troops, and its capture could lead to changes and extensions of supply lines for the army. This, in turn, will complicate the defense of other sections of the front.
Despite the intensification of hostilities in Pokrovsk, the situation on other sectors of the eastern and southern fronts is relatively stable. The intensity of military activity there remains low, and there are no significant changes in territorial control.
Earlier, an analyst also assessed the situation in the Pokrovsk direction, noting that the pressure on the flanks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has increased.
