Russia expands aircraft factory in Kazan, where bombers are made: satellite images.

The aircraft factory in Kazan is rapidly developing and increasing aircraft production. Images published by 'Glavkom' and Yle show new hangars at the factory, covering nearly 19 thousand square meters.
The factory in Kazan plays an important role in strategic aviation production. New photos show the emergence of several hangars, the largest of which is 320 meters long.
New investments and modernization
According to Yle, by 2025, tens of thousands of square meters of new production space will be built at the factory. Investments in the modernization of the enterprise amount to approximately 90 billion rubles (almost 1 billion euros) and are planned to be completed by the end of next year.
Military experts note that production is slow: for 2024, the factory delivered only a few upgraded aircraft to the Aerospace Forces.
In the fight against sanctions, the factory faces problems with the supply of components and finding qualified personnel. The production of civilian Tu-214 aircraft is also complicated - 23 aircraft have been ordered, but only one has been completed.
As a reminder, in April 2024, drones from the Main Intelligence Directorate attacked the Gorbunov aircraft factory in Kazan, which specializes in the production and repair of Tu-22M and Tu-160M bombers.
The aircraft factory in Kazan is actively developing, increasing aircraft production; however, it faces difficulties in production and modernization due to supply and personnel issues. Investments in the factory's development will contribute to further growth of its potential.
