Russia is creating a 'scorched earth' tactic in southern Ukraine

Russia is trying to intimidate the residents of southern Ukraine by attacking critical and civilian infrastructure and creating a 'scorched earth' tactic. Their goal is to make life in these areas impossible to instill fear into the local population.

This was reported by the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army on the air of the 'Priamyi' channel.

Night drone kamikaze attacks

Last night, Russian troops carried out two waves of kamikaze drone attacks 'Shahed' on Odesa, shelling residential areas and infrastructure. They are directing their strikes at everything necessary for the life of Ukrainians, trying to make life in these areas impossible.

'The enemy attacks infrastructure that is vital for the local population during the war. We see that the enemy is trying to damage our land as much as possible to make it impossible for people to stay here,' - explained Serhiy Bratchuk.

Despite Russia’s attempts to use the 'scorched earth' tactic, the Armed Forces of Ukraine effectively counter them, including through air defense.

Let's recall that earlier we reported on the destruction resulting from the night attack on Odesa and the destruction of radar systems in Crimea.

The conflict in eastern Ukraine with Russia continues to escalate, and residents of the southern part of the country remain under threat from aggressive actions of the invaders. The Russian army is using such tactics to spread fear and is trying to destroy everything that can sustain life for the population. Ukrainian forces continue active defense, protecting their territory from attacks.
