Obtaining 2 hectares of land in 2025: which categories of Ukrainians have the right to this.

Every citizen of Ukraine has the opportunity to privatize up to 2.28 hectares of land free of charge after reaching adulthood. However, during the state of military emergency, such transfer is prohibited, and the opportunity to obtain land will open only after the end of the state of military emergency.
Participants in hostilities, war invalids, and family members of the deceased have priority rights to receive land plots for the construction of residential and economic buildings, as well as for gardening. However, such a plot will only be allocated if the person has not previously received the right to land privatization.
For the privatization of state and communal land, the following sizes can be obtained: up to 2 hectares for agriculture, up to 12 hundredths for gardening, up to 25 hundredths for the construction of residential houses and economic buildings in a village (up to 15 hundredths in settlements and up to 10 hundredths in cities), up to 10 hundredths for the construction of a dacha, up to 1 hundredth for garages, and in the amount of land share for farms.
To obtain a land plot, one must contact the relevant executive authority or local self-government body that transfers land plots into private ownership. It is also necessary to contact the territorial offices of the State Geocadastre and select the necessary plot on the map.
Participants in hostilities, invalids, and family members of the deceased are exempt from paying land tax.
