A New Approach to Air Alerts in Ukraine: What Business Proposed.

The European Business Association Proposes to Modernize the Air Alert Notification System
The European Business Association has approached the Minister of Economy and the Minister of Internal Affairs with a proposal to improve the air alert notification system. The Association suggests implementing a specialized system that will notify about danger only in those areas where there is a real risk, instead of announcing alerts across the entire region.
According to the press service of the EBA, the current notification system poses significant obstacles to the normal functioning of businesses in Ukraine. Due to the necessity to stop operations during each air alert, companies lose up to half of their working Time.
'This general approach often leads to unnecessary halts in work even when there is no direct threat at the location of the enterprise,' the association emphasizes.
Business representatives claim that the constant interruptions negatively impact the fulfillment of production plans, increase operational costs, and complicate export operations.
The EBA is convinced that implementing a localized notification system will help address this issue: 'The introduction of a localized notification system, based on a risk-oriented approach, will limit notifications to areas with real risk and will contribute to the continuity of business processes.'
Currently, the association is urging the authorities to consider the possibility of implementing such a system that can provide a balance between business interests and public safety. This issue is particularly relevant given the need to support the economic stability of the country amid the war.
