The Government of Ukraine extended the special obligations for gas supply
The Government of Ukraine made the decision to extend the special obligations (PSO) for gas supply until April 30, 2025. This decision was made at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on August 23, 2024.
According to the Naftogaz Group, gas prices will remain unchanged for district heating companies, electricity producers, and the population until the end of the next heating season.
Ukraine faces a challenging winter. In these conditions, the key task of the Naftogaz Group is to give Ukrainians and Ukrainian businesses a certain level of stability and predictability throughout the next heating season. Gas is currently the main guaranteed source of energy. Therefore, as the largest national energy company of Ukraine and gas producer, we will continue to be a support for Ukrainians in these difficult times.
Gas prices will remain unchanged
According to the government decision, gas prices will remain as follows:
- For the population: 7.96 UAH per cubic meter with VAT (basic “fixed” tariff)
- For the production of thermal energy for the population: 7.42 UAH per cubic meter with VAT
- For the production of thermal energy for budgetary institutions: 16.39 UAH per cubic meter with VAT
- For the production of electricity in the condensation cycle: 10.5 UAH per cubic meter with VAT
