The Moscow Church Turned to Law Enforcement Due to Filming a Culinary Show in the Lavra.

Representatives of the Moscow Church in Ukraine have appealed to law enforcement regarding a criminal offense that occurred during the filming of a culinary show in the Refectory Church of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. This was reported by the lawyer of the UOC MP, Mykyta Chekman, according to the Ukrainian version of Religion in Ukraine.
The statement notes that filming a culinary show in a prayer church is a violation of church canons, religious traditions, and rules, and it insults the religious beliefs of the faithful. Therefore, the Moscow Church considers this 'unethical behavior.'
The church is an active place for worship and other religious ceremonies, and therefore filming a culinary show there is 'unethical behavior,' Mykyta Chekman reported.
Chef Yevhen Klopotenko and the author of the project 'Real History' Akim Halimov filmed an episode featuring traditional Ukrainian Christmas dishes in the Refectory Church of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. This caused outrage from the Moscow Church of Ukraine due to the filming location.
Social media users began criticizing Yevhen Klopotenko and pointed out that the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra is not an appropriate place for filming such projects.
The author of the project 'Real History,' Akim Halimov, responded to the criticism on social media, stating that this is an attack on Ukraine.
