The Ministry of Defense showcased the operation of FPV drones on fiber optic.


The Ukrainian army is testing FPV drones controlled via fiber optic cable
The Main Department of Defense Innovations of the Ministry of Defense conducted tests of FPV drones, which are controlled via fiber optic cable. The presentation was held for the commands of various branches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. More than a dozen drone models were presented, which have a high payload capacity. Demonstration flights were carried out involving UAV operators.
According to the Chief of the Unmanned Aerial Systems Department of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant Colonel Yevgeny Tkachenko, the enemy is actively using technology to control drones via fiber optic, so it is important to find ways to neutralize its advantages. Ukrainian manufacturers are demonstrating their readiness to adapt to modern challenges and are offering effective solutions. Drone operators serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine assessed the characteristics and expressed interest in using such tools.
According to Yevgeny Tkachenko, some tools are already ready for use and will soon be supplied to the troops.
