Lukashenko returned to provocations at Putin's behest - expert.

Expert Ivan Varchenko stated that Belarusian President Lukashenko obeys Putin's will and is his puppet. Varchenko believes that Lukashenko will act in a way to please Putin, in order to stay in power and protect his life. Varchenko also explained that Belarus's unstable policy is related to Lukashenko's desire to satisfy Putin, and this has led to the country's independent policy during the war. He also noted that Lukashenko allowed his territory to be used for attacks on Ukraine and provided support to Russia, but refrained from orders to fight against Ukraine. Varchenko believes that if Lukashenko orders an attack on Ukraine, it could lead to his loss of power. Varchenko claims that Lukashenko is ready for serious maneuvers on the verbal front, but is most likely to refuse to attack Ukraine.
