The head of Russian football expects that the UEFA president will visit Russia as early as 2025.

The head of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Alexander Dyukov stated that UEFA president Alexander Ceferin may visit Russia by the end of 2025. This was reported by 'Glavkom'.
We talked about visiting Russia with Alexander Ceferin (at the UEFA congress). We hope that this visit will take place this year, - Dyukov said in an interview with Russian journalists.
After the start of Russian aggression against Ukraine in February 2022, the Russian national team and Russian football clubs were banned from international tournaments.
For refusing to adhere to the principles of fair play in football, Russia was suspended from participating in the World Cup. This restriction kept the aggressor country out of the main tournament participants.
They honored the memory of the eliminated Russian occupier Alexei Bugayev
During the UEFA congress in Belgrade, there was a moment of silence in honor of the eliminated Russian occupier Alexei Bugayev.
The participants of the event honored the memory of football figures who died in 2024. Thus, they also remembered Bugayev, who was eliminated by Ukrainian defenders.
The possible visit of the UEFA president to Russia could be an important step in restoring cooperation in the world of football. Honoring the memory of the eliminated Russian occupier at the UEFA congress indicates a condemnation of actions that contradict the principles of fair play in football and universal human values.
