The government of Ukraine is preparing for significant changes in its composition. Certain ministers may be dismissed, and some positions may be combined. This was reported by people's deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak on Telegram on July 14.

Expected changes in the government

Defense Minister Rustem Umerov is likely to take the position of Ukraine's envoy to the USA, replacing the current Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. A possible merger of the Ministry of Defense with the Ministry of Strategic Industries is expected.

The resignation of the Minister of Education is also anticipated, with Oleksiy Sobolev appointed to his position. The head of the Ministry of Energy, Herman Halushchenko, may be replaced by Svitlana Hrynchuk. The new minister in the field of social policy may be Daryna Marchak, while the Ministry of Internal Affairs will remain unchanged.

The president emphasized the important role on July 14, proposing Yuliia Svyrydenko to head the government and significantly update its work. It is worth noting that the reduction of the government is intended to cut costs for the government apparatus.

The government of Ukraine plans to carry out large-scale personnel changes, including the dismissal of certain ministers and the merger of some government officials' positions. These steps are aimed at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of managing the country under challenging conditions. New appointments and dismissals could significantly change Ukraine's political landscape and the government's work in the future.
