Finland provides Ukraine with assistance worth millions of euros.


Ukraine will receive support from Finland in the amount of 4.5 million euros. These funds will be directed to a fund that helps Ukrainians in the east and south of the country, as well as in liberated territories. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland.
Finland supports the second phase (2025-2027) of the Partnership Fund for a Strong Ukraine (PFRU) totaling 4.5 million euros
The 'Partnership for a Strong Ukraine' fund provides assistance to vulnerable groups on the front line, including victims of sexual violence and war veterans. It also addresses the needs for psychosocial support. Additionally, the fund helps children who have been forced to relocate from Ukraine and is involved in the search for those missing during the war.
International financial partners of the fund include the United Kingdom, Estonia, Canada, the Netherlands, Norway, the United States of America, Finland, Switzerland, and Sweden.
Today, February 24, on the third anniversary of the Russian invasion, the presidents of Lithuania, Latvia, and Finland, as well as the prime ministers of Estonia, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and Canada arrived in the Ukrainian capital.
The President of the European Council Antonio Costa and the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen also arrived in Kyiv. The head of the European Commission announced that in March Ukraine will receive a new payment of 3.5 billion euros from the EU.
