Former official of the Ministry of Defense provided unusable weapons — details of the case.

The former official of the Ministry of Defense and former leaders of the defense enterprise have been notified of suspicion in a case where they supplied unusable missile systems and caused the state damage amounting to 90 million hryvnias. This was reported by the Office of the Attorney General of Ukraine on Telegram.

The Office of the Prosecutor General is conducting procedural supervision of the pre-trial investigation into the case regarding the supply of unusable anti-tank missile systems to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine for over 90 million hryvnias. It has been established that a former head of one of the departments of the Ministry of Defense and two former employees of the defense enterprise are involved in this crime. They have been notified of suspicion under part 2 of article 114-1, part 5 of article 191 and part 2 of article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The High Anti-Corruption Court has applied preventive measures in the form of bail for the former leaders of the defense enterprise. A motion has also been filed to choose a preventive measure in the form of bail for the former official of the Ministry of Defense in the amount of 5.011 million hryvnias.

Recently, cases of embezzlement and loss of food supplies allocated for the Armed Forces of Ukraine were discovered. A criminal organization that stole millions of hryvnias intended for the Armed Forces was also uncovered in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Office of the Attorney General has reported suspicion against the former official of the Ministry of Defense and former leaders of the defense enterprise in the case of supplying unusable missile systems. It has been established that they caused significant damage to the state by supplying low-quality equipment. It is known that the court has set bail for some and is considering a motion for a preventive measure in the form of bail for another accused.
