Drones Over Russia: Restrictions in the Sky Caused Collapse at Airports.


An aviation collapse is ongoing in Russia due to restrictions in airspace, leading to mass flight cancellations in several cities, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, and others. This was reported by the publication 'Hlavkom' citing Rosaviatsiya.
According to updated information from Rosaviatsiya, flights at the airports of Ivanovo (South), Kaluga (Graptsevo), St. Petersburg (Pulkovo), and Tambov (Donskoye) are temporarily not operating or are not being serviced. Approximately 287 flights in various airports have been canceled, not including those that have completely closed.
According to updated data from 'Rosaviatsiya', the following flights have been canceled:
- 171 flights at Moscow's Pulkovo,
- 90 flights at St. Petersburg's Pulkovo,
- 26 flights in Nizhny Novgorod.
Despite Rosaviatsiya's statements about controlling the situation, significant queues of passengers continue at major airports.
The Mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, reported the downing of six drones by air defense systems aimed at the capital. There have also been reports of drone attacks in many regions of Russia, although this information has not been officially confirmed.
Currently, the main point of collapse is Sheremetyevo Airport near Moscow, where over 170 flights have been delayed and nearly 50 have been canceled, leading to significant overload at the airport and crowds of passengers who had to stay and wait in extremely uncomfortable conditions.
Recently, explosions at important facilities of Russia's military-industrial complex became known, as well as the destruction and interception of 94 drones, which is part of the episodes and companions of the aviation crisis in the country.
