The budget will receive a record amount from the NBU: the figure has been announced.

The National Bank of Ukraine received a record profit in 2024, although its main goal is not to make a profit. This was reported by the NBU press service.

The profit before distribution amounted to UAH 102.7 billion. Of these, UAH 18.5 billion will be directed to the NBU reserves, while the remaining UAH 84.2 billion will go to the state budget after approval with the Ministry of Finance.

This is the largest amount that the NBU has ever transferred to the budget

NBU Chairman Andriy Pyshny noted that the profit will contribute to Ukraine's defense capability and the state's ability to resist the enemy.

On April 18, 2025, the Council of the National Bank approved the financial statements for 2024. As of December 31, the NBU's foreign exchange balance amounted to UAH 2,700 billion, which is more than a year earlier.

The main reasons for the increase in assets are the growth of international reserves, an increase in securities of non-residents, and funds in foreign currency.

The financial result of the National Bank for 2024 amounted to UAH 231 billion.
