Olga Vasylyeva explained that the Ukrainian name 'Oleksandra' can have various variants such as 'Sanya', 'Sanda', 'Lesya', and for men - 'Sanko', 'Sashko', 'Shurko', 'Les'. She took this information from Lyubomyr Beley's guide 'The Child's Name in the Ukrainian Family'.

Olga Vasylyeva emphasized that a man should not be called 'Shura' or 'Sasha'.

The philologist also mentioned that Belarusian and Russian names should not be transliterated, but only translated into Ukrainian using equivalents such as Artem, Mykola, Oleksandr, Semen, Vera, Kateryna, Svitlana.

Russian names, such as Dmitry Medvedev, should also be reproduced in the Ukrainian language.

This information was provided by philologist Olga Vasylyeva in the 'Language Issue' section on the 'Glavcom' website.
