Mayor of Lviv Andrii Sadovyi commemorated the anniversary of the murder of Iryna Faryon, which occurred a year ago in the courtyard of a Lviv building. He emphasized that the city will always remember its distinguished compatriot.

On that day, the residents of Lviv gathered to honor the memory of the deceased. Sadovyi stressed that Lviv will not forget this tragic event.

'People came to honor the memory of the Ukrainian. Lviv will not forget!' – noted the city leader.

Local residents continue to commemorate Faryon as part of the city's and the country's history. Recall that on July 19, 2024, Faryon was fatally wounded near her home. A photo report was published about the anniversary of the famous Ukrainian's death.

In June, a court session took place in Faryon's case, where surveillance cameras recorded the suspect Vyacheslav Zinchenko on the day of the linguist's murder.
