The RF massively attacked Ukraine - how many targets were shot down by the air defense.

On the night of July 19, Russian troops massively attacked Ukraine with drones and missiles. However, Ukrainian air defenders managed to destroy a significant number of enemy targets.

This was reported by the press service of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Saturday, July 19.

RF's attack on Ukraine - air defense performance results

On the night of July 19 (from 19:30 on July 18), Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 379 air assault vehicles:

• 344 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and various types of mimicry drones from directions: Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, RF (about 200 - 'Shaheds');
• 12 ballistic missiles of the Iskander-M/KN-23 type (launches from Voronezh, Kursk, Rostov regions, RF, temporarily occupied Crimea);
• 8 cruise missiles of the Iskander-K type (launch area - Millerovo, RF);
• 15 cruise missiles of the X-101 type (from the airspace of Saratov region, RF).

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 10:00, the air defense shot down 208 enemy air assault vehicles:

• 185 strike UAVs of the Shahed type;
• 7 ballistic missiles of the Iskander-M/KN-23 type;
• 7 cruise missiles of the Iskander-K type;
• 9 cruise missiles of the X-101 type.

In addition, 7 cruise missiles and 129 mimicry drones did not reach their targets - locally lost/suppressed by electronic warfare.

It should be noted that on the night of July 19, Russian occupiers launched the most massive attack on Pavlograd.

Later, Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the night attack of Russian troops on Ukrainian peaceful cities and spoke about the consequences.
